This Wednesday (26th May), at around 6 in the morning, our blue tit chicks, that have been nesting in our birdbox, finally fledged into the wide open world. Our Fledgecam caught them coming out and, contrary to our predictions, they didn’t use the fence as a stepping stone, instead flying straight out (or straight down onto the ground). We also witnessed a short tussle between the parents and another small bird.
