We have new life! The chicks have hatched out and the female is diligently feeding them. I’m amazed how, when the eggs are laid over several days, that they hatch out all together. I know its because she only starts to incubate them them all at the same time but it’s still incredible how they hatch so close together.
She has done an amazing job already and we look forward to her being able to raise them successfully. Hopefully there are enough caterpillars around our garden to feed the hungry mouths.
